Cédric de Bellefroid

Product Manager
Co-founder

Cédric studied Civil Engineering alongside Economy and Management at UCL (Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium). He had the opportunity to further develop his electronics and embedded software skills at the University of Southampton following a MSc. in System on Chip.

He then worked 2 years as an electronics R&D engineer for optical fiber products at Nokia (Antwerp, Belgium). During this time, he developed expertise in Integrated Circuits (FPGA/ASIC) design and specific skills in communication protocols in noisy environments (Forward Error Correction). Cédric has developed strong knowledge in validation being responsible for the test environment structure of the fiber part of the project (Test structure, Continuous testing, Code coverage, ...).

Cédric leads the strategy part of FutureWave, helping clients with his product and market analysis skills. As an engineer, he will be responsible for the development of communication protocols and intelligent software algorithms. He also ensures the close link between strategy, design, engineering and User Interface, key offer of FutureWave. Cédric will also be responsible for client prospection, employee management and company finances.
Cédric holds a degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Southampton (UK) as well as a management degree from the UCLouvain (Belgium). He then went on to became an R&D engineer for next generation fiber products at Nokia.

Cédric will guide you during your product development steps and ensure deliveries of the highest standards.

Guillaume de Foestraets

CTO
Co-founder

Guillaume started electronics at the age of 15 during his free time. He then deepened his expertise during his Civil Engineering studies at UCL (Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium). During he had the opportunity to learn on various topics as FPGA/ASICs, analog and digital electronics, embedded software, cloud computing, system modelling and regulation algorithms, machine vision, etc.

He then worked 4 years as an electronics R&D engineer for optical fiber products at Nokia (Antwerp, Belgium). During this time he developed his expertise in Integrated Circuits (FPGA/ASICs) design and verification for Nokia products. Integrated circuit design is complex as it requires to be first time right and therefore implies to be intransigent in all the steps towards manufacturing.

The combination of these skill allows him to have a global view on an electronics system to design, starting from the creation of integrated circuits (FPGA/ASICs) to the PCB and software.

Guillaume leads the technical part of FutureWave. He will be responsible for all technical aspects of the projects (hardware & software).
Guillaume graduated in Electrical Engineering from UCLouvain (Belgium). He then joined Nokia as an R&D engineer for next generation fiber products at Nokia before joining Dekimo as a hardware engineer in Leuven.

Guillaume is our technical lead, guiding the development of your product from definition to production using his wide and precise engineering skills. His knowledge and passion for connected devices is one of our company’s key assets.
