Joachim Froment is a Belgian designer and artist from Brussels. A former student of the Royal College of Art (London, UK), Joachim holds a Masters Degree in Design Products from this prestigious institution. He then went on to work as a designer and project manager for Skibsted Ideation in Copenhagen (run by Jens Martin Skibsted) where he led projects for renowned furniture and transportation companies in Denmark such as Hay, Engelbrecths, Danfoss and Biomega. His pieces were exhibited at the Design Museum of Ghent in Belgium, London, and Osaka. Despite his young age, Joachim Froment won numerous design awards such as the Rado Star Design Prize at the London Design Festival in 2017 and the Bolia Design Prize a year later. His work has been published by magazines such as Wallpaper, Frame, The Independent and Elle Deco.

Joachim has always been passioned by technologies. He is the typical example of a creative designer with a strong engineering background. Wether it being lighting, autonomous vehicles or drones, he gathered valuable experiences working alongside experienced industrial engineers while working for Skibsted Ideation. His willingness to ally with engineers to provide organizations a combined service was in his head for a long time. Joachim has always had the envy to create amazing technological products for people, disrupting the 'standard' designs and enhancing the experience every user get from them.
